During her stump speech, she did not mention what she would do if elected Councilperson of District Two. Almost in tears - Moore told the Democrats despite her financial history, she helped with finances in East Cleveland and on Maple Heights School Board. Rosalind Moore, Jones's opponent, spoke about her finances. She talked about legislation she introduced, her success with working with the Mayor, her visibility, and engaging with constituents in District Two. Jones told the executive committee of her expertise in housing development and valuation. Next up - Councilwoman Toni Jones of District Two. When the executive committee voted, eight black women voted against Blackwell and instead gave Shenett-the Democrat endorsement, regardless of his obvious lack of experience and horrific personal financial history. Blackwell, Mayor, told the executive committee members about the success of bringing Maple Heights out of fiscal emergency, receiving the clean audit award from the State of Ohio Auditor's Department, new business development - bringing international business to Maple Heights, including - GoJo, Chipotle, KFC, increasing housing valuation, implementing the road repavement program, improving the City's infrastructure, increasing the City's bond rating, development of a rainy-day fund, Two-time Clean Audit Award and many other successes. The subject matter of Paul Thomas Anderson’s Boogie Nights makes it a one-of-a-kind film. What did you do for Boogie Nights (1997) Boogie Nights (1997) There is a three-letter term between the dust and the falling stars, which you will have to discover by watching this film, but it signifies that Mufasa and Sarabi attempted to bring Simmba into the world. This is one of Disney’s best films, and there is a scene where Mufasa and Sarabi are resting on a stone, and Simba is introduced in front of other animals that require you to pause the movie. The Lion King (1994) The Lion King (1994) When Bates looks directly at the camera during the halted scene, viewers may momentarily notice the outline of a skull overlaid over his face. Bates is detained and arrested in the 1960 film’s concluding moments. If you’ve seen the movie, you already know how everything turns out since Anthony Perkins gave the spooky part of Norman Bates a genuine air of plausibility. Without Alfred Hitchcock’s timeless classic Psycho, the horror genre would not have appeared the same. There are many fight scenes in this delightful movie. This film is among the most paused and famous movies. If you blink your eyelids, you will miss them. Many of the scenes in this film conclude so rapidly that they must be viewed carefully to appreciate their hidden message fully. Of course, Fight Club by David Fincher is replete with graphic and inappropriate imagery. For instance, the spectator sees too much of Ariel entirely in a children’s movie when she is given human legs! We find it hard to comprehend that a Disney animated film could create material of this nature. The movie contained a few references and offensive scenes even back in the day, let alone now. The 1980s’ iconic Disney movie was The Little Mermaid. The heyday of Disney, when 2-D animation was the standard, has long passed. A man with his pants down looks to be standing in the background! The Little Mermaid (1989) The Little Mermaid (1989) However, the movie’s final celebratory sequence caught the attention of many viewers. The main character of Fox’s film ends up helping his team without adopting the wolf identity, which is entirely predictable. In addition to playing Marty McFly in Back to the Future, he also played the title role in the less popular but no less amusing Teen Wolf. This scene is given an ominous twist by it! Teen Wolf (1985) Teen Wolf (1985) It is no secret that fans have seen numerous sinister allusions in the iconic film The Wizard of Oz from 1939. The one who has hanged himself but is being called a bird in the official story. When Dorothy and her friend are walking, a strange shadow appears in the background. Many people have paused this movie after seeing a thing. The Wizard of Oz (1939) The Wizard of Oz (1939) This sequence has been paused by viewers who want to take a closer look at the monsters on the list. A whiteboard with a list of the monsters the scientists are in control of can be seen during a scene where scientists are analyzing what might happen to the main characters. Because of its meta-approach to the horror genre, Cabin in the Woods got high praise. One of the most paused scenes in cinema history, for various reasons, can be found in this film. Cabin in the Woods (2012) Cabin in the Woods (2012) It’s remarkable how many viewers paused the movie after this scene. Stone’s leg crossover showed spectators much more than they had imagined entering the film, although she appeared to be entirely clad. This sequence ultimately eclipsed the movie as a whole, and for obvious reasons. It must surely be one of history’s most recognizable and thought-provoking scenes. Sharon Stone’s portrayal in Basic Instinct from 1992 undoubtedly garnered attention. Basic Instinct (1992) Basic Instinct (1992) When Linda comes out by climbing the steps of the pool, this movie is the most paused by people. The most paused scene in this movie comes when Linda enjoys herself in the pool with her friend Stacy. The acting and cast performance in this movie is outstanding. This movie is not one of the most fantastic movies, but this movie has been paused many times. Fast Times at Ridgemont High is undoubtedly a timeless film about coming of age from the 1980s. In this movie, you will see Phoebe Cates playing the character of Linda. Fast Times at Ridgemont High (1982) Fast Times at Ridgemont High (1982) Without giving anything away, it involves someone’s head and happens so quickly that you must replay and pause to appreciate it fully. Due to its gory nature of it, it has been repeatedly paused. This movie is about psychic powers and how that power can be devastating. The fanbase of this movie was not as much as it is now. This movie takes the career of David Cronenberg forward. List of Most Paused Movie Scenes in Hollywood History Scanners (1981) Scanners (1981) I'll try to explain the reason of my requests in the next post. Preferably, the eliminated trade route would be the oldest one, like a FIFO queue.ĭo you think it is possible to implement something like this, in a reasonably easy way? If it is hard to implement, then it is surely not worth it. If the city had reached the max number of trade routes, the new trade route replaces one of the previous ones, even if the new ongoing revenues will be lower. When the trade route is established, the target city becomes the new home city for the unit. No one time revenue: the setting "bonus" from leset always considered "none". Performing the action shouldn't consume the unit. After some time testing a game with trade routes based on strategic resources, and freights that do not die when they establish trade routes, I think my desired new action would require another change compared to the original "Establish Trade Route": the possibility to replace an existing trade route even when the new one gives lower income. While it would be possible to make a balanced ruleset with a caravan that die and gets a revenue, and a freight that does not die and does not get the revenue (and the same freight could decide to enter the marketplace and get the revenue after that). I see no way to balance a ruleset where the caravan is not killed and gets the one time revenue at same time. In the other hand, I think the modability would be better if the new action (caravan do not die) is considered always bonus="None", and not affected by the setting in leset. My desired behaviour is possible even if this setting affect the same to both actions (caravan die or not die), and I guess it is the easiest way to implement it. What is relation of this to the trade setting bonus="None" for a trade route type? I think this would be enough to get what I want, I'll test it this way. The last TRUE means that the unit should die after the action is performed. You can now test it to see what other changes (compared to "Establish Trade Route) this action should have. Compile.Ĭongratulations! You have just created a version of Freeciv where "Establish Trade Route" won't kill the actor unit. Find the function hard_code_actions(void). Open common/actions.c in a text editor (like you do when editing civ2civ3). Simulating it will allow you to discover more issues. To find out what more you want to be different in this new action I suggest that you simulate having the new action. If I understood the above correctly: no one time revenue.Performing the action shouldn't consume the unit. It's coded for Linux, but there are also versions for Windows, Amiga (which I used to use until my beloved Amiga died after 15 years of blissful happiness ) and a bunch of other platforms. The next step is to find out how this action should differ from "Establish Trade Route". It is quite different to Civ3 and most of the developers aren't fans of Civ3.īecause I own a Mac (and therefore don't have PTW or C3C) I play a modded Civ3 whenever I want to play single player and Freeciv whenever I want to play multi-player. Realistically Freeciv is an (IMO) improved Civ2. I'm sure if you bug them they might put in support for it, especially if you were willing to convert the graphics. I'm not sure if this tile size is supported yet. Default Freeciv isometric tiles are 64x32 or 64x48. The last I checked the developers were doing a major overhaul of the terrain handling code so it should now be almost possible to port Civ3 terrain graphics across. Graphically Freeciv has no support yet for animated units. The latest versions have diplomacy similar to Civ3 though. At the current stage of development there is no support for culture, strategic and luxury resources, and a host of other Civ3 engine features. There are no Civ3 mods as such for Freeciv. Info on Freeciv can be found at Best place to find out more is to join the freeciv-dev mailing list. Usually, device files are mappings of physical memory to the file system. In addition to our summer schedules, we also have daily charts for our older kids. These will make their rooms nice and dark so they can wind down and understand that it’s time to sleep. To help them get to sleep, use blackout curtains! PRO TIP: It may still be light outside when it’s time to send your kids to bed. But, we encourage a general winding down of activity level. The bedtime routine for younger and older children will likely differ and may start at different times. Family Time: 6:30 PMįor family time, we might do things like family board games, go to a park, or watch a movie. We eat dinner around 5:30 and then do family activities in the evening. Play Time: 3 PM-5:30 PMĪt 3 PM we do a fun summer activity together, or the kids can go back outside to play with friends. This is often the hottest time of the day, so it’s good for kids to be inside and out of the hot sun. We also love the idea of using audio books to keep kids entertained! Older kids need to do 20 minutes of reading and another learning activity and younger kids have independent play time. Quiet Time/Nap Time/Learning Time: 1 PM-3 PMĪt 1 PM it’s nap time for babies, quiet time for preschoolers, and learning time for kids in elementary school. Lunch Time: 12 PM-1 PMĭuring lunch, we enjoy a healthy meal like chicken salad sandwiches or summer pasta salad. Or we’ll do a family activity like go to the splash pad or visit a museum. One color means go back to sleep, another color means it’s okay to play quietly in their room, and the final color means it’s okay to come out. These special clocks change color to let kids know what to do when they wake up. PRO TIP: If your kids wake up earlier than your morning schedule, and you want them to stay in their bedrooms, try using color-changing alarm clocks! The early morning hours are filled with breakfast, scripture study, getting ready for the day, and completing chores. Having specific blocks of time for specific activities makes it easy to coordinate the schedules of younger and older kids who have slightly different needs. We love to use a block schedule to map out our summer days! I feel like the current lights either blind you, or look very "placeholder"-ish.Īlso, make LED lights look more realistic. Another nifty feature that YouTube has is the watch on TV function. On the Kwese Play Roku TV box you’re able to navigate with ease, search and scroll to your heart’s content. The YouTube apps on other Android Tv boxes are quite a pain, and scrolling is non-existent so this meant the use of YouTube was incredibly limited. The YouTube app is really good on this device. Once you’re playing a movie or show, all the normal control functions become available on screen too. The remote features a pause/play button, as well as skip, left and right buttons. While the remote does not have its own qwerty keyboard, the app does provide an onscreen keyboard for all input fields you encounter. But other than that it really makes it easy to get around and find that show that you’re after. There’s a context menu that slides out to the far left when you need to get to other categories and settings etc. Browsing around is a breeze, and it’s quick. The Kwese Play Roku tv box has its own certified Netflix app that allows for true ease of navigation. Netflix is bundled with the OS so it’s ready to watch as soon as you turn the device on. This does slow things down and becomes a bit annoying at times. The directional arrows on the remote have to be used to move around, select shows to watch, or scrolling up and down and left and right within Netflix. The problem I’ve had with other Android TV Boxes, and even remotes used on the Windows Netflix app, comes down to the ease of navigation.
